REVISION OF THE CYCLE-TRACK PROJECT FOR THE PROVINCE OF ZUID-HOLLAND
HERZIENING PROVINCIAAL FIETSPADENPLAN IN ZUID-HOLLAND
The operative cycle-track project for the province of Zuid-Holland dates from 1954. It has been fixed for the main part. Changes of views and circumstances make a revision necessary, though. For example a greater value is now being attached to the transportation function of the bicycle, among other things. Besides there is need for provisions for recreational cycling in the direct surroundings of the residential areas. It is the intention to construct 125 kilometres of cycle-track in the framework of the new project within the next five years. /TRRL/
