PROCEEDINGS OF THE BRIDGE SCOUR SYMPOSIUM, OCTOBER 17-19, 1989, TURNER-FAIRBANK HIGHWAY RESEARCH CENTER, MCLEAN, VIRGINIA. SESSION III - SCOUR MODELING
Session III of the Bridge Scour Symposium focused on scour modeling. The two papers presented at this session discuss, respectively, the modeling of bridge scour at the New York State Thruway Bridge following its collapse into the floodwater of Schoharie Creek and the BRIdge StreamTube Model for Alluvial River Simulation (BRI-STARS) which is under development by A. Molinas under the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP). The papers are as follows: Two-Dimensional Flow Modeling of Schoharie Creek at the Thruway Bridge, R.E. Trent; and BRI-STARS Model and Its Applications, A. Molinas and V.C. Santoro.
