BETTER AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING IS COMING
Better visbility schemes for automobiles are described, including rectangular headlamps, three-beam headlighting, higher intensity upper beams, daytime front running lights, and side turn signals. Other lighting improvements under consideration are mentioned briefly, including supplemental side backup lamps, greater intensity stop and turn signals for daylight hours, and better schemes for making a distinction between tail and stop indications.
