HIGHWAYS INVESTMENT IN THE NORTH WEST - A COUNTY VIEW

This paper looks into the investment requirements to bring the highway network in the North West up to standard by the turn of the century. Consideration is given to the means of accelerating the trunk road programme, and the problems associated with local authority road funding are discussed.(A)
