TRANSPORT PLANNING IN THIRD WORLD CITIES
This book presents some basic transport planning paradigms that are believed to be appropriate to cities in Third World countries and examines key issues involved in the formulation of better planning approaches to urban transport. It focuses particularly on: problems of urban transport planning, the deficiencies in the theories and practice of urban transport planning; and new transport planning alternatives in Third World cities. Special reference is made to specific Third World Countries, in particular, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran and Mexico. For abstracts of individual chapters see IRRD 829921-829932.
