GREATER SAFETY THROUGH LINEAR CONTROL OF TRAINS

SECURITE ACCRUE PAR LE CONTROLE LINEAIRE DES TRAINS

A short description of the integrated transmission system designed by the ORE. The tests were begun on the Lavorgo-Bodio (St-Gothard) line, with RE 4/4 II type locomotives. Further tests are planned on the Turgi-Coblenz section with one of the new RABDe 8/16 type suburban trainsets. The system as a whole will be thoroughly tested between now and 1977, so that large-scale production can be begun at that date.
