REGION 13 - REGIONAL TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN, FY 1983-87

The Regional Transit Development Plan (RTDP) for Region 13 provides a structuraal format for the development and implementation of public transportation services in Southwest Iowa. Region 13 is comprised of Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby Counties. The region has historically been characterized by a predominance of agricultural-related business activities. This document evaluates currently available transit services, assesses transportation needs of the region, reviews recent developments, oytlines future developmental strategies, and provides recommendations for policy direction. The plan is intended as an operating tool for transit managers, local policy board members, and interested citizens.
