COMPUTERIZED SCHEDULING APPLICATION IN CONSTRUCTION. FINAL REPORT

This research evaluates the use of computers in the construction operations of the Florida Department of Transportation. The current FDOT schedule procedures are examined and their application to computerized procedures are evaluated in this research. The paper discusses the hardware that is needed, as well as software. Evaluation of leading software packages that can be used in the construction operations was included in the research. Finally, a list of recommendations for future use is presented as well as the training procedures needed to implement the conclusions of this research.
