INSPECTION OF CONCRETE

This collection contains the following six papers: "Concrete Quality Control Instruments," by Theodore W. van Zelst; "Inspection of Precast Concrete, " by Irwin J. Speyer; "Inspection of Cast-in-Place Concrete Construction," by James R. Cagley; "Inspection Requirements for Highway Construction," by Orrin Riley; "A Contractor's Need for Quality and Economy Assurance," by Michael A. Lombard; and "Owner's Viewpoint on Quality Assurance for Concrete Structures," by Vincent S. Boyer. The first five papers were presented at a symposium sponsored by ACI Committee 311, Inspection of Concrete, at the 1974 fall convention in Atlanta. The last paper was presented at an ACI seminar on Concrete for Nuclear Power Plant Construction, held in Philadelphia in November 1974. As pointed out by Bertold E. Weinberg in the Introduction to this collection, "these papers cover many of the inspection problems and techniques with which builders, designers, suppliers, and inspectors have to deal."
