ERIE COUNTY I-79 INTERCHANGE STUDY IN MCKEAN AND WASHINGTON TOWNSHIPS
The purpose of the I-79 Interchange Study was to determine the potential for economic development at two interchanges in central Erie County -- McKean and Washington Townships. These interchanges open up a diversity of transportation, industrial and commercial markets to Erie County as well as the two Townships. Careful review of each interchange area strongly suggested that neither interchange area was ready for, or could adequately accommodate, intensive or extensive commercial and/or industrial development within the foreseeable future (the next five to ten years).
