DAMPING PROPERTIES OF RUBBER-STEEL SHOCK ABSORBERS

WLASNOSCI TLUMIACE AMORTYZATOROW GUMOWO-STALOWYCH

The results of the author's own studies of the effect of repeated loading and artifical aging of rubber-steel shock absorbers on their mechanical characteristics are presented. An evaluation is made of the suitability of rubber-steel shock absorbers for use in railway couplers in comparison with the hitherto used spring-type shock absorbers which consist of elastic-frictional rings.
