AUTOMATIC TRAFFIC SURVEILLANCE AT TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS
AUTOMATISCHE VERKEHRSUEBERWACHUNG AN LICHTSIGNALANLAGEN
At traffic signal installations non-observance of stop signals (red signals) leads to acute danger. In order to discipline the road user methods of control are necessary. Photographic surveillance equipment serves for controlling traffic at signal access points, which is an impossible task without technical aids. The equipment is installed before the relevant access point, and if the stop signal is ignored, the equipment records the vehicle, the prevailing conditions and the point in time. The instrument works automatically and can record more than 200 offences on one film. It is being used by the police in many counties and has proved itself everywhere because of its constant readiness for use and accuracy. The covering abstract for the conference is IRRD No. 208556. /TRRL/
