ATRA LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN FOR TORT REFORM
The American Tort Reform Association (ATRA) is a coalition of over 400 organizations, the majority of whom could be subject to tort liability. Due to what the Association sees as a justice system which encourages lawsuits and high awards, tort reform is advocated to curtail these practices and bring about greater efficiency, fairness and predictability to the civil justice system through public education and the enactment of state legislation. ATRA is involved in a massive publicity campaign for tort reform using bumper stickers, posters, advertisements, etc., to drive home its point.
