ACI MANUAL OF CONCRETE PRACTICE 1990. PART 2. CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES AND INSPECTION PAVEMENTS. GUIDE FOR REPAIR OF CONCRETE BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURES
Repair techniques for concrete bridge superstructures are described. This includes pier caps, beams, decks, curbs, sidewalks, and rails. Special emphasis is placed on decks. Recommendations for evaluation of damage, selection of repair method, and surface preparation are given. Repair materials given primary consideration are conventional portland cement mortars and concretess, and those using latex, epoxy resins, or methyl methacrylate. Only techniques that have been documented and used extensively are included. Guide recommendations are those considered necessary for severe exposure conditions.
