ANALYSIS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE-PIPE PERFORMANCE DATA. DISCUSSION
This is a discsussion of a paper of the above title by J.C. Potter published in Vol. 114, No. 5 (September 1988) issue of this journal. Discusser Hurd, notes points that he feels the author has not clearly examined. These include the rating system, the causes of culvert deterioration, and the relationship between age and rating. Discussers Kurdziel and Bealey further discuss the rating scale, and comment on the linear regression model by the author, and pipe ratings. Clarification of some of the discrepancies in the paper is urged. The discussions are followed by a closure by the author.
