L.A. LOOKS INTO ELECTRICITY AS ALTERNATE FUEL
Working to meet the requirements of clean air standards, Los Angeles already has some buses which will operate on either methanol or compressed natural gas (CNG). However, these two alternative fuels carry a higher price tag than is desired. So, electricity is being evaluated to see if it would be a more viable and cost effective alternative.
