COMPUTER-AIDED VIBRATION ANALYSIS
This article deals with a different kind of computer system approach to vibration analysis, which employs the combination of a narrowband real time analyzer and a general purpose mini-computer. Since simply connecting the two instruments does not do much for one who is not an expert programmer or system analyst, a programming approach is discussed that solves this problem without sacrificing processing speed or flexibility. A research tool called the "Campbell Diagram" is also introduced as an example of the approach in action.
