ALMOST THERE-AN EFFICIENT POLLUTION MONITOR
This article describes an oil pollution monitoring device which has been developed as a result of the 1973 IMCO convention on the prevention of pollution from ships. The limitations which the convention proposed are given, and the way in which this instrument achieves the measurements required is also discussed. The operating principle is described, as is the actual design of the unit. Experience and performance of the unit, which were achieved during laboratory testing, is also described and discussed in the article.
