INDUSTRIAL SITE STUDIES ALONG APPALACHIAN HIGHWAYS, STATE OF ALABAMA
This report was prepared as a concise guide to 25 industrial sites within Appalachia Alabama. Significant information is included for the individual cities and towns with more specific background data and proposed development plans for selected parcels of industrial land. These site studies were prepared to aid local officials in determining the highest and best use of land within and in some cases outside city boundaries. Efforts were made to protect highway investments in these studies, particularly with respect to safety and traffic movement. The primary effort was in designing efficient road layout plans. The layouts were designed to minimize costs and to maximize convenience and safety.
