RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ESTIMATING PRESTRESS LOSSES
This PCI Committee report summarizes data on creep and shrinkage of concrete and steel relaxation, and presents both a general and a simplified design procedure for using these data in estimating loss of prestress after any given time period. Detailed design examples for pretensioned and post-tensioned concrete structures explain the procedures. The general method is applicable to bridges, although there are some differences between it and the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges with respect to individual loss components.
