HIGH TECHNOLOGY PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEMS: THE EXPERIENCE OF FRANCE, THE NETHERLANDS AND WEST GERMANY
Passenger information is a vital element of any public transport system. The aim of this study was twofold: first, to compare the views and attitudes towards high technology systems in continental Europe with those prevailing within the United Kingdom passenger transport industry; and second, to draw upon experience gained outwith the United Kingdom and, in particular, to ascertain whether or not any evaluation of such new systems had been undertaken.
