A DYNAMIC METHOD OF DETERMINING THE ANCHORAGE CHARACTERISTICS OF CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT

UNE METHODE DYNAMIQUE DE DETERMINATION DES CHARACTERISTIQUES DE L'ANCRAGE DES ARMATURES DANS LE BETON

The study used pull-out tests and the application of A dynamic method to determine the Anchorage characteristics of concrete reinforcement. The sample was considered as A static system with one degree of freedom. It was assumed that, during the pull-out process, modifications in the dynamic characteristics of the sample occurred caused by low intensity impulses, due to variations in the flexural dynamic rigidity of the sample tested. It was shown that there exists a close relation between the reduction in adhesion and variations in the dynamic values analyzed, the frequency and the percentage of critical damping. /TRRL/
