CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF ADHESION BETWEEN THE HYDRATED INGREDIENTS OF ARTIFICIAL PORTLAND CEMENT AND THE COATED REINFORCEMENT
CONTRIBUTION A L'ETUDE D'ADHERENCE ENTRE LES CONSTITUANTS HYDRATES DU CIMENT PORTLAND ARTIFICIEL EL L'ARMATURE ENROBEE
The study of the adhesion between mortar and reinforcement was conducted by means of the pull out test (pull out in compression). The interface and surface of failure were examined with a scanning electron microscope. Marked segregation was observed under the reinforcement. The upper part made of ca(oh)2 in the case of portland cement is an exact replica of the reinforcement and is subjected to shrinkage (no pull out during the test). /TRRL/
