PORTABLE ELECTRIC PHOTOMETERS - A SURVEY
This article discusses the results of a survey conducted to evaluate illumination meters. Information was gathered from 14 manufactureres, with additional information being solicited from interested and knowledgeable persons in the lighting field. Data are presented on the following: sensor type, ranges, readout, meter acceptance angle, scale length, accuracy, probes, power, probe cable length, meter size and weight, and cost. In addition, information is included on the selection, care, and use of a photometer.
