HELIOS "DUAL GATE" PRODUCTS OF COMBUSTION FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM

This article describes combustion detection systems which are extremely sensitive as early warning fire detectors, and also provide a high order of immunity to false alarms. Each of these systems employ two sensing devices, a resistance grid and an ionisation chamber, and delivers its alarm signal only when both sensors are activated. A detailed description of how these systems operate, and how the detection mechanisms function, is given in the article.
