FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS IN TERMINAL DESIGN
Describes an analytical procedure for the design of intermodal terminals that is based on functional analysis--a very detailed study of all of the functions and all of the activities that must be performed at the terminal. This procedure is applicable to all types of terminals (container, bulk, neobulk, air freight, etc.) and is equally useful in designing new terminals and in moderinizing existing facilities.
