LES METHODES MODERNES DE TRACE DE LIGNES NOUVELLES. LE CALCUL ET LE DESSIN AUTOMATIQUES DANS LES ETUDES

The authors explain the reasons behind the creation of a specialist body to study the plotting of a new line. The various operations of the scheme imply heavy reliance on computers for processing the topographical and geological data, calculating and plotting of profiles, and siting of structures. Stress is placed on the importance and diversity of techniques employed, and on the advantages accruing from this mechanisation.
