EFFECT OF UNDERWATER SCRUBBING OF SHIPS HULLS ON MARINE GROWTHS

The paper describes the work, sponsored by the then Chamber of Shipping of the United Kingdom, to establish the effect on marine growths after a ship's hull has been scrubbed underwater. The author concludes that underwater scrubbing could result in an increase in the amount of weed soon after the ship returns to sea.
