COMPARISON OF METHODS IN WAVE FORCES PREDICTION ON LARGE FIXED OBSTACLES
The state of knowledge regarding the wave-structure interaction problem in the case of the diffraction of water waves upon fixed obstacles is presented. The several methods of approach for wave forces and moments prediction, their limitations, the assumptions that have been made, and the computational level are described. Design and research recommendations are given.
