DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN AUTOMATED TESTING INSTALLATION FOR VEHICLE TESTING BY THE TECHNICAL INSPECTION ASSOCIATION IN RHINELAND

An analysis is made of the problems associated with design, the possibilities of automation and the objectives of the Rhineland Techanical Inspection Association in building the Automated Car Testing Center at Duesseldore-Gareth. The structure of the test installation as well as computer processing, input of vehicle data, charging of fees, wheel tests, headlamp and lighting tests, braking tests, visibility tests, exhaust fumes (CO) tests, and production of the test report and issue of this are described in detail.
