Paper on the advantages and general arrangement of 750/1500 V, 1500/3000 V and 3000/6000 V dual-voltage tractive unit systems with chopper control and variable frequency converter feeding induction motors. The system proposed is particularly adapted for rolling stock worked on both an urban network and on the FS network.
