A NOTE ON THE ELASTIC ANALYSIS OF BOX-GIRDER DIAPHRAGMS USING FINITE ELEMENTS
Approximate two-dimensional methods for the elastic analysis of rectangular diaphragms are reviewed. An alternative procedure is proposed for dealing with the stiffness of the adjoining webs. The effects of different assumptions regarding the effective flange areas are investigated. /Author/TRRL/
