NOBLE GAS RECOVERY STUDY - NS SAVANNAH, APPENDIX

A solid absorption system with cryogenic enrichment was selected as the most feasible system for recovery of radioactive purge gas from the nuclear containment compartment of the N.S. Savannah. The process calculations made to determine the overall operational feasibility from material balance and thermodynamic considerations are presented in this appendix. In addition the size of each major piece of equipment was determined to permit a reliable estimate of the installed cost of the entire system. The appendix also contains a literature survey synopsis.
