ENSAYO DE CLASIFICACION DE SUELOS
Various types of test standards and criteria for soil classification are presented, based on the most recently published ASTM recommendations. The standards deal with the following subjects. Definitions and symbols used in soil mechanics; method for determining the moisture content of the soil, by drying in an oven; method for determining the specific weight of the solids contained in the soil; method for the preparation of test specimens for particles size analysis and for the determination of the consistency index; method for particle size analysis of the soil; method for the determination of the liquid and plastic limits; heave factors; method for soil identification following the unified system of soil classification; method for the classification of soils and soil-aggregate mixtures for road construction purposes; unified soil classification system; and test sieves. /TRRL/
