KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL AIR STARTING AND MAINTENANCE
Air starting has proved to be an efficient, low cost method of starting diesel engine in cold weather. This paper analyzes the problems and merits of the air starting system and presents specific suggestions on ways to minimize or eliminate the difficulties involved in its implementation. The attendant problems of noise level and consumer education are discussed. Suggestions for the maintenance of air starting systems are included. /GMRL/
