MOTORCYCLE HANDLING PERFORMANCE FOR OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE
This paper discusses motorcycle evasive handling performance in comparison with braking performance and with the evasive maneuvering capability of passenger cars. Motorcycle behavior in an evasive turn and the effect of rider technique and handling performance and analyzed. Motions of the motorcycle and rider in emergency maneuvers were studied and a mathematical model of the total system was developed. /Author/
