RATING METHOD AND LUBRICANT APPETITE STUDY FOR AN AIR-COOLED ROTARY ENGINE
Experimental results with a 25-hp charge-cooled rotary combustion engine are presented for a variety of lubricant base stocks and additive packages. A rating method which combines endurance and deposition level is described. Lubricant performance is evaluated based upon this rating scheme, and contribution of base stock and additive package components is analyzed. /GMRL/
