INTERNATIONAL VIEW OF TRACTOR SEATING

This paper discusses the importance of seating in protecting tractor operators from shock and vibration. An overview of important seating criteria is presented and U.S. and European viewpoints are compared. In 1969, the Off-Highway Council established the Joint Seating Subcommittee. The activities of this Subcommittee are reported and suggestions for future work are outlined. /SAE/
