SPATIAL ABSTRACTION IN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING: A PRELIMINARY CLASSIFIED BIBLIOGRAPHY
This bibliography is the first result of an attempt to summarize, in a rather broad fashion, the literature relevant to the subject of spatial abstraction in transportation planning. The term spatial abstraction refers to the various kinds of abstraction from spatial properties of elements of the transportation phenomemon. The bibliography is confined to abstractions carried out in the modelling phase of the planning process, i.e. To abstractions of transport demand and supply leading to operational models which are the basis of the evaluation of alternative planning actions. /TRRL/
