DESIGN CHARTS FOR BOTTOM SHELL PLATE SCANTLINGS TO WITHSTAND SLAM LOADS
In this issue charts are given for the purpose of estimating the loads actually experienced during a slam, and also for the determination of required bottom shell plate scantlings. Supplementary charts are given for the estimation of a maximum second slam load that can be substained without causing additional permanent set.(Author)
