METHODS OF ESTIMATING THE LEVEL OF SERVICE PROVIDED BY URBAN TRANSIT SYSTEMS . NATIONAL TRANSPORT CONFERENCE; TRANSPORT FOR THE USERS; MELBOURNE, 23-25 MAY 1989; PREPRINT OF PAPERS
Application of simulation models to analyse the level of service characteristics of transit systems which operate on exclusive or limited right of way is described in this paper. Similarities and differences between trams and lrtsim simulation packages are described. Other techniques available for modelling urban transit systems and estimating the level of service provided by transit operations are also identified (a). For the covering record of the conference, see IRRD no 814837.
