TRIP PRODUCTION: EVALUATION OF CURRENT APPROACHES AND TEST OF A PERSON CATEGORY ANALYSIS MODEL
RITPRODUKTIE, WAT MAKEN WE ERVAN: EEN EVALUATIE VAN HUIDIGE METHODIEKEN EN EEN PROEVE VAN EEN PERSONEN CATEGORIEANALYSEMODEL
A description of a number of common trip end modelling techniques is given. The advantages and disadvantages of regression analysis and category analysis on the one hand and zonal models versus household - and person models on the other hand are discussed briefly. The second part of the article deals with a trip generation technique which is primarily based on category analysis by person categories, but also utilises regression analysis. The utility of such a model is analysed from the results obtained. The covering abstract for the conference is IRRD no. 213390. /TRRL/
