MULTIPURPOSE TUNNELS - PLANNING AND SOME DESIGN ELEMENTS

VISENAMENSKI TUNELI U DRUMSKOM TRANSPORTU - PLANIRANJE I NEKI ELEMENTI PROJEKTOVANJA

Planning of multi-purpose tunnels, especially road tunnels and their infrastructure, is becoming important in town planning. The article describes the research process itself i.e. the traffic study, feasibility study, cost benefit analysis, general design and investment. It briefly reviews the elements of traffic regulation in tunnels, characteristic transverse profile, lighting, ventilation, equipment, safety and environmental design.
