OVERLAYS, INLAYS: PCC FIGURES IN REHAB WORK
Portland cement concrete is playing an important role in road rehabilitation work via its use in overlays and inlays. This article reviews use of PCC overlay and inlay techniques. Work in Wyoming is described where the State Highway Department has expanded its use of experimental portland cement concrete inlays to alleviate rutting on interstate highways. Unbonded and bonded overlays are being constructed in Minnesota. It is noted that detailed information on 'fast track' PCC pavements is available in a technical bulletin from the American Concrete Pavement Association.
