TECHNOLOGICAL FORECASTING AND TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT; A WAY OF THINKING AND PROCEEDING FOR SPATIAL AND TRANSPORTATION PLANNING

TECHNOLOGISCH VERKENNEN EN ASPECTENONDERZOEK: FEN DENK- EN WERKWIJZE VOOR RUIMTELIJKE EN VERVOERSPLANNING

The ideas of technological forecasting and technology assessment are explained by distinguishing six types of information concerning a forecasting and evaluation study. Methods to be used can be founded on several scientific philosophies. It is indicated that these methods can be and have been applied to the planning of transportation systems. Further possibilities of doing this should be explored. The covering abstract for the conference is IRRD no. 213390. /TRRL/
