CANADA GOES CABOOSELESS
The safety record of cabooseless trains is making them norm in freight operations in the U.S. and is rapidly achieving the same status in Canada. The struggles in Canada to operate cabooseless trains, legal, labor, etc., are detailed. Whereas U.S. railroads are not required to have units which trigger rear-end braking, those in Canada are. Units developed by Dynamic Sciences Limited (DSL) and Pulse Electronics, Inc. are fulfilling this need.
