EMBANKMENT FOUNDATIONS
This chapter, Chapter 6 of the "Guide to Earthwork Construction," contains background information on embankment foundation design as it affects construction operations and inspection procedures. Briefly discussed are the several phases of the embankment foundation design process. Possible treatment alternatives, which may be required for particular problem foundations sites, are also mentioned.
