WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE LONDON ASSESSMENT STUDIES
This report provides an evaluation of the London assessment studies by the Association of London Authorities. The main findings are: a) The studies are based on separate, road based corridors, and this is not the way to approach Londons transport problems; b) there is no strategic overview of the problem; c) the options are incomplete; and d) the asessment is inadequate. Arguments are put forward to support these criticisms. For the published reports on the East, South, and West London assessment studies see IRRD 804091, 826395, 826532, and 803944.
