CANADIAN STRATEGIC HIGHWAY RESEARCH PROGRAM (C-SHRP) PROGRESS REPORT 1988/89

The progress of the Canadian strategic highway research program (c-shrp) is reviewed for its second year of operation. Shrp research is based on four technical research areas: (1) asphalts; (2) long term pavement performance; (3) highway operations; and (4) concrete and structures. The organizational structure developed to direct and administer the research is documented, the scope and budget of the program and its components are summarized and links with the American shrp are reviewed. Status reports on each of the program components are provided including highlights of modifications made to the original program concept. Updates are provided for ongoing research initiated in previous years and terms of reference are included for newly initiated projects. A workplan of the fiscal year 1989-90 is provided in addition to a master budget and schedule for the remainder of the program. (TRRL)
