This Component Unit Financial Report is composed of three major sections: (1) Introductory Section--this section includes the Table of Contents, Letter of Transmittal, Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting awarded to METRO by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, the METRO organizational chart, a schedule of Officers and Directors, a history of METRO, and maps of the service area, routes and taxing districts. (2) Financial Section--included in this section are the Independent Auditor's Report, General Purpose Financial Statements and footnotes to those Statements. (3) Statistical Section--various tables are presented in this section which describe certain financial, demographic and economic trends of METRO, Marion County and the City of Indianapolis.
